SIP A COCKTAIL WITH A SIDE OF THEATRICS

Hit the dance floor at the West End’s best nightspotsSip champagne cocktails over live music at an iconic brasserieWander into at an eccentric cocktail bar with a tavern feelShare old-fashioned Parisian cocktails with jazz and cabaret acts A few of our favorite West End nightspots are as much about the cocktails as the spectacle (they don’t call it Theatreland for nothing). Quaglino’s—the historic and recently refreshed Art Deco brasserie—lures London’s most glamorous to St. James’s with two swanky bars, delicious champagne cocktails, and live music on stage almost every night of the week. Over in Mayfair, Mr. Fogg’s has been fashioned as the whimsical Victorian home of Phileas Fogg (the fictional Jules Verne adventurer); stuffed Indian tigers and annotated maps adorn the walls, staffers wear military-style uniforms crafted by Gieves & Hawkes, and sharing cocktails inspired by Around the World in 80 Days are poured into antique punch bowls. And in the basement of Brasserie Zédel (another hit from the team behind The Wolseley), the intimate, Paris-style Crazy Coqs serves old-fashioned cocktails (fancy a Boulevardier?) during throwback cabaret and jazz acts. Book in advance.  Mr. Fogg’s can be found on Bruton Lane inside the Berkley Square House and just across the street from Berkeley Square. The Crazy Coqs at Brasserie Zédel is located in West End. With Piccadilly Circus being the closest station, walk left onto Windmill Street and keep left on Denman until you reach Sherwood Street. Find Zédel here. You can’t miss its illuminated red awning.QUAGLINO'S: 16 Bury St.; 44-(0)20-7930-6767; quaglinos-restaurant.co.ukMR.
